Happy Thursday friends; this week I’m sharing how to style a floral blouse. I have to admit this floral blouse is one of maybe three blouses I own. I don’t wear them a ton. As a stay at home mom and someone who works from home I don’t usually gravitate towards wearing a blouse. Cotton tee’s are usually my jam. But, in this case the beautiful pink floral print caught my eye and it is nice to have a couple options for when the occasion presents itself. This blouse has amazing details! Functional buttons down the left bodice and on both sleeves. The peplum hemline is dreamy and the tie waist is really flattering!
How to style a floral blouse
Take a blouse in your closet and style it for work, a sassy date night, church, or weekend get up’. The options are endless! Have some fun and get creative by pairing yours with distressed denim, a moto jacket, or pointy toe heels! The best part about getting creative is you are able to find new life in pieces you already own. This top became exponentially more exciting after trying things out and coming up with five different looks!
This first look is definitely the most classic. I love the clean lines and how the black on black adds height to my otherwise not so tall frame. I paired the blouse with black jeans, a long cardi, and black flats. This particular blouse has pink, red, and white florals. While the brown color block doesn’t match the other pieces it adds some dimension and visual interest. It pairs well because the cardigan is in large part white which does match the top. Finding pieces that will compliment each other while adding in something unique like the brown color block is a great way to take an outfit to a different level.
Okay! This is my favorite one. I love the raw hem ankle jeans. They’re classic in color and a good hardy denim. If denim could be hardy I’d say these are it! hehe! These jeans are high waisted. I prefer my denim that way. The high waist is another way to elongate your body. Low rise really cuts off the legs and make the body look shorter. I’m not a fan of how small the zipper is either. But, I’m getting off topic. Whoops! For this outfit I kept it simple and let the blouse speak for itself while adding a pop of color in the shoes. The pointy pink suede heels add a little sass!
I think these distressed jeans and my moto jacket make it in to almost every Thursday Three post. They’re great statement pieces and totally change up the otherwise feminine floral blouse. I love the feminine and masculine pieces paired together.
I bought this blouse to wear for work function my husband had over the holidays. These black joggers are my only pair of dress pants. They may not be appropriate for your office. However, you can easily switch these out and pair your blouse with a pair of cropped dress pants and heels.
This is another version of one of the first outfit we discussed. I kind of love the blush pink cardigan; it’s a super feminine outfit! I’m always up for anything cutesie and this fits the bill!
Fit is true to size. I purchased a size small.
Thanks for stopping by dear ones! I hope you enjoyed this edition of Thursday Three. Feel free to leave a comment with any pieces you’d like to see in a future post.
