How to style a tee and boyfriend jeans! I took a break from the how to style posts last week. I looked in my closet and was feeling so uninspired. It was also my son’s birthday last week. hehe! To say my mind was else where is spot on. Any who! We are back at it. I sent a request out on Instagram for ideas on what to share in this weekly post; boyfriend jeans were requested multiple times. So, here ya have it! I hope you find these styling ideas inspiring!
How to Style a tee and boyfriend jeans-
This week I kept the top and denim exactly the same; only changing the overlay and shoes.
I love me a great fitting, classic, white tee! Add a pair of cropped/high rise denim and I’m sold! This look doesn’t get any more basic yet, it looks polished. The reason being-the shirt is a crisp white. There aren’t any stains. It isn’t dingy. Let’s face it white tee’s don’t last super long in this stage. hehe! Their life span is on the short end. In my opinion; that is a-okay! I am always willing to invest in a new white tee. It’s a staple. The way it pops and fits well is my favorite!
High Rise Denim:
Wear your boyfriend jeans and tuck the tee in. The fact that the top can be tucked in completely does help to create clean lines. It takes an otherwise super casual tee and helps to make it lean on the “put together” polished look. The high waist denim holds everything in nicely. The top isn’t going to shift much because most of it is tucked in. If you try to achieve the same look with low rise denim the look is quite different and ultimately cuts off your lower half rather than elongating.
Lastly, the necklaces always do it for me! I pretty much wear this set every single day. It’s my favorite way to create complete look.
Keep it super, super simple and finish the look with your favorite sneakers. That’s it. Doesn’t get much easier than that!
Take the tee and jeans from super casual to a more dressed up look with a suede moto jacket and flats. This outfit is perfect to take from day to night. Works well for a lunch date, errands, or casual work wear. Then head out for a dinner date later that day! I can’t wait to wear this one! Plus, the colored flats really get me going for spring!
Lastly, head out for girls night, date night, a show, whatevs and look cool with the mix of business attire and denim! Love, love, love this mix of styles! The style blazer really helps to create that “cool” vibe. It’s over sized and has that awesome sheen to it. A more traditional blazer would look cute too! But, the vibe changes. I think this is one important thing to think about when styling. To get the exact look it isn’t just any tee, any blazer, any heels that will make the look pop. It’s the style of each and the details that make it or break it.
