There are so many denim options; it can get pretty overwhelming. This denim guide is meant to make things easier for the next time you are in the market for denim. Abercrombie does a really nice job of meeting many needs. Whether you like low rise, mid rise, high rise, or ultra high rise. Distressed or or no distressing. Cropped or flare. And so on! Lots of options for many different occasions.
Let’s get started. I’ve got six different styles to share and one in bonus of a different color in the same style.
Low rise 90s baggy
They aren’t baggy in the waist or hinney. But, they are definitely loose from above the knee to the ankle. I love that they are actually loose fitting in the knees! I tend to struggle with what brands say is considered a baggy pair of jeans to actually be loose fitting. My body style tends to fit snug in the knee area of denim. But, these are definitely curate in that they are not hugging my knees. Really appreciate that! I believe these are not a forever style though. They’re currently on clearance and low in stock. But, wanted to be sure to share just in case they are available in your size and you’re looking for a fun pair of jeans! There are slits on both sides of the hips. A great pair of jeans for a fun night out or casual weekend vibe!
fit is tts. wearing 26 They area button fly closure. The feel is more rigid than some of the other styles. But, the body composition is the same as all of the other styles.

Ultra high rise 90s straight
No gapping in the back. Hits right at my belly button. These fit like a glove! Super comfy and will stay in place. The sides have slits. I would opt to wear with a bit of a heel or low heeled bootie. Let the slits get some height and not drag on the ground. In the light wash they lean towards the casual side. But, would be so cute with a blazer, tee, and heels for a casual yet elevated look!

90s high rise relaxed
Love the wash in these! Super light wash. Tiny bit of distressing near the pockets. Great fit without any gapping. Fits really well in the waist and loosens up above the knee. Super flattering! Very comfortable! Something I would grab for on the weekends or for casual day wear over and over again!

80s mom high rise

These are super comfy! At first I was a bit unsure. The ankles are pretty snug. This style definitely balloons. They are fitted in the waist and loosen up around the leg and knee then synch back in towards the ankle. When I first tried these on I was not a fan. But, then I tried them again and they definitely grew on me! They’re really comfortable. More stretch than some of the others. The classic blue denim color is really appealing to me. I think these are surprisingly a win!

Mom high rise
The waist is looser than most of the others. Similar to the next pair we will discuss. The Ankle straight ultra high rise are also less snug in the waist. They don’t pull away by any means. But, aren’t going to feel snug against your waist. They do feel snug in the thigh as well as the calves. If you’re like me and carry your weight in your lower half they will fit a bit snug in the calves. But, not so much that they don’t work. They area true straight leg and look great! Will pair well with booties for fall! Perfect cropped length. Love the black acid wash and there’s no distressing.

Ultra high rise ankle straight x2
Blue option: Love the dark wash. The waist is pretty loose fitting. The waistline rests well where they should. But, are not snug at all. More forgiving as the day progresses. They lay well. You can’t see any gapping but, the way they feel is much looser than any of the others. Love the cropped hemline. The one busted knee is a fun detail! Love these.
Very high waisted. Feels very lifting and held in without feeling constricting. The black pair have busted knees and distressing on the backside of the hem.
Fit: I was able to stay true to size in all seven pair of denim. I kind of love how they all have the exact same body profile. 99% cotton and 1% elastane. Makes them all fit very similarly and keeps things consistent in knowing what size to purchase when we’re buying denim.

There ya have it! So many great styles! Love that the sizing is consistent. No wondering if you are the same size or another size in different styles. There are a ton of washes per style which is so great. Once you click on a pair of jeans you’re able to see what other washes they come in and the different options for distressing or no distressing. Love that there are distressed and non distressed options for each style. Perfect for meeting your needs of any occasion!
