Fall outfit from day to night with faux leather shorts

This time of year I find myself itching to throw on some fall pieces. But, the weather just isn’t quite ready for a typical fall vibe. That’s okay, there are plenty of options for scratching that fall itch in a weather appropriate way! A super fun fall outfit that is so simple is a cotton tee paired with faux leather shorts.

These shorts are from Amazon. I recently placed an order with Amazon and am super surprised by the quality! Not sure why. I guess I expected it all to feel and be cheapy? Not great of me to make a judgment. But, I am glad I gave it a go. Turns out you can find some great stuff on Amazon. There were a few duds. But, not any more than any other order from another store. These shorts come in a few colors. I love the brown with the contrasting black tie.

The shorts fit tts and are lined which is really nice. The tee is a cropped option which I like. It lays well with the high waisted paperbag style of the shorts. But, if you’re not one for a cropped tee. A more fitted option to completely tuck in will work just as well!

This look transitions well from day to night. Keep the tee. The luxe style of the shorts really dresses up the tee. Unless, you’re going to a steak house or something fancier the tee will do just fine being “dressy” for the night. For day wear throw on a pair of black slides. I love a good backpack. They’re easy to wear and the leather with gold hardware adds some great texture and visual interest. Once the evening hits, switch out your slides for a pair of heeled sandals and a small clutch or crossbody bag. These two simple swaps will completely change the vibe of your look.

There are so many other ways to style these shorts as well! Pair them with over the knee boots and a bodysuit for a night out or wear with a pair of sneakers and a pull over sweater; tuck in the just the front portion so you can see the cutie waistline and tie of the shorts. Opting for color with these shorts is fun too! A berry hue or emerald green would be stunning. A silky tank and blazer with heels is another option for really dressing up the shorts.
