Sunday lounging + life 9/11/22

Lounging in the cutest separates! Throwing on pieces that match are my jam. But, it’s also nice to have separates too! I’m super pleased with this zip up hoodie. It’s so cute. I love the worn in black and thick ribbing around the waistline and wrists.

I love the option of pieces being able to hang off the shoulder. Some pieces just don’t have the weight to be able to lay properly. This hoodie is the perfect weight and lays so well off the shoulder. I love how creating an off the shoulder look with something so casual just makes it feel so much more luxe!

Fit: I sized up to a medium in the zip up. I wanted it to feel oversized for a looser fit and to be able to be an off the shoulder option. The shorts fit tts as well as the top. The top is definitely a lounge around top. It’s got tiny little cutouts in it. Super cute and the ruffle edge is darling!

Obsessed with the shorts! They’re so light weight and just lay on your skin without any tugging or rubbing. They’re a loose fit. Nothing constricting which is perfect for lounging around! I’d wear this out and about for running errands or a coffee run with Nick or a friend. Throw on some sneakers and your good to go.

Life

Life….where do I start! hehe. Life has been so busy lately. It’s funny because I used to feel busy with the boys’. Then a new life chapter begins and you’re like woah! This is the new busy! I thought I was busy before. But, man I should have enjoyed how I wasn’t so busy.

I have decided to take it all on this year! This is my year to grind. I started my blog and dove back into fashion. All while searching for a part time job. I got certified for substitute teaching in Georgia. Only wanting to work part time. But, ended up finding an extended subbing position which is full time.

It was a decision that weighed on me heavily. I carry a lot of the home responsibility. Nick’s work schedule just doesn’t allow for him to take part in a lot of the home responsibilities. We know this. It is a part of our family. I know this is my role. I love that I can support our family with what is at home.

But, I found out last year through working for the school district in California that I actually love having my own gig and working with others outside my home. So, this year I decided to push my limits. To get really uncomfortable and work full time. Start my blog. All while Nick is in a new position working long hours.

It is a lot. But, it is so exciting! I am realizing how much I am capable of. I have always preferred being comfortable. Looking back I realized that statement “Being comfortable is beautiful but nothing ever grows there.” It’s so true! I have grown the most I have ever grown. I am enjoying the hustle and bustle! I am contributing to my family in a new way!

I have built relationships with my students in the special Ed room. The students are so sweet. I love getting to spend time with them. I led morning circle time last week and it was such a joy! The smiles. the excitement singing our songs, taking role, talking about the weather. Along with that, I get to see my children throughout the day. I get so see them at lunch. In line with their classmates. They are so excited to see me! Oh man, that feels so good.

My house is messier. We’re eating less “fancy” meals. I am behind in cleaning. We have to run all of our errands after school together; instead of me by myself while the boys are at school. But, we are all growing! Our family is thriving and we are in a new chapter of life that is pushing us to new and amazing places.

It’s not comfortable at all. It’s harder. It’s messier. But, we’re all growing and I love it!

Maybe it needs to be for the moment. We do need to know when it’s time to rest and replenish. But, I will say we are all so much more capable than we know! We will only find this out if we push ourselves and go for it!
