six outfit ideas for a midi dress

Sharing six outfit ideas for a midi dress! A midi dress is the perfect blank canvas to get creative with in your wardrobe. You can take these ideas and replicate with pieces you have in your closet! If a black midi dress is more your style opt for black. The same additional pieces will look great.

Personally I am smitten over this brown midi dress. It’s a little something different and still a great neutral. The material has a great weight to it. I’m wearing a size small. It lays nicely without feeling super snug. If you’d prefer a more sucked in feeling I’d say order one size down.

Early Fall outfit

How fun is this flannel button down? I love the mixed print wrapped around the waist to break up the midi dress. Super flattering to the silhouette. It’s just another way to keep things interesting and wear something more unexpected. I love it around the waist with slides for early fall and worn unbuttered with boots for full on fall vibes!

Fit: button down fits tts. Sized up 1/2 in slides

Fall weekend outfit

A monochromatic outfit is always a yes for me. Love that its brown on brown, on burnt orange, on tan! Definitely one of my favorite fall midi dress outfit ideas! These boots are super comfy! Love the chunky heel with the platform makes them feel less high and are such a great shoe to have for Fall! Again went with the black backpack. I just love how easy it is to wear and how it’s a less expected option for a purse.

Fit: shacket fits tts. It is a bit rough on the inside. Not something that is itchy but, definitely not a fleece cozy interior. If you have sensitive skin this particular shacket is not for you. But, thankfully there are endless options for shackets! They’re a Fall staple! Boots fit tts.

Another Fall weekend outfit

Took the same button down from the early Fall outfit and made it act as the jacket to this look for a true Fall outfit. The button down and midi dress colors coordinate so perfectly! These boots are that edgy vibe; I think they are so fun! But, not for everyone. If these boots feel a bit too out there opt for a black pair that fit your style more. Whether heeled or flat. You can dress up this outfit with heeled booties or keep it more casual with flat boots. I did link a similar pair of platform boots that aren’t quite as much of a statement as these.

Fit: Button down is tts. Boots are tts. Love this backpack! and it’s under $40. Fits a laptop too!

Casual work wear outfit

I chose to add a powdered blue blazer and mules for a work wear outfit idea. The unexpected powder blue is a fun option for keeping things interesting. Opt for black or cream for a more classic look. Mules are a great shoe for work. If you need something more dressy wearing heels will look great as well.

Fit: I’m wearing a size small in blazer. I would size down one size. It does run big. Mules fit tts.

Elevated work wear outfit

If your work wear dress code is professional this outfit is a great option. It’s got some sass with the pointed toe white boots which I love. Throw on a brown plaid blazer for work and take off for a night out on the town later! If the white boots are a bit much for you opt for black. It will feel more classic.

Fit: Blazer is rather thick. It is more of a coat style. If you’re wanting a thicker option that can double as a coat this is great. But, if you’re wanting a true blazer feel this one is too thick for that. I linked a similar option. Boots, I sized up 1/2 for extra comfort. I have wide feet and often need the extra room with pointed toe boots.

Everyday casual outfit

This is one of those I need to look put together and want to be extra comfy looks! I love it. Feels like you’re still at home in your jammies but, look effortlessly chic. Perfect for school drop off and errands.
